What if… 

We trusted in the cycle of spiritual birth, life and death? 

We acknowledged spiritual death as our consort and trusted advisor?

We surrendered to ‘what is’ rather than yearn for ‘what could be’? 

And, we used all of this wisdom to realise the spiritual liberation we have been longing for?

Before every expansion there is a contraction. 

The very act of birthing anything, from giving birth to human beings through to developing a new idea, writing a book or starting a business, requires us to first learn to ride the waves of birth and death in all of its glory. Only then can we embrace the full wonder of who we truly are. 

In this final episode of In POD We Trust: Series 1, our two coaches discussed the word ‘Birth’, sharing the stories and moments where they were both challenged and enlightened throughout their lives.

“It’s only work if you’d rather be doing something else…”

In Episode 5 of In POD We Trust, Jessica and Sarah spoke about the word “Fun”.

The episode began with Sarah talking about her experiences of 2017. At this point in her life, Sarah had all the conventional markers for success (money, travel, an important job) but she wasn’t happy. Ultimately, she wasn’t having any fun and that was something she felt she had to change.

Jessica and Sarah then went on to discuss fun as a birthright, how exquisite the human mind is and took a deep dive into Jessica’s lack of (conventional) gardening skills.

“When I get that ‘crushing in’ of all the reasons of why I can’t do something, why it can’t happen and why it will never work, that’s the kickback before an expansion.” 

“It’s when you know that you’re dying to who you thought you were and becoming something reborn.”

In Episode 4 of In POD We Trust, Jessica and Sarah’s word was “Spirit”. 

They spoke about lifting the veil on the belief that spirit is separate from us. Because, as Sarah says: “we are spirit, and spirit ‘r’ us”. 

The pair also spoke about money in relation to spirituality, the anagram T.I.T.S. and the importance of running a business from spirit and intuition - rather than just data, strategy and analytics.

The outcome? Spirit can be for all of us, but we must open up enough of ourselves to be able to listen to it and to receive it.

“Are we clear? I don’t know!!”

In Episode 3 of In POD We Trust, our wondrous duo tackled the word “Clarity”. 

They discussed how clarity can often be the middle ground between intuition and fear - where intuition tells us we need to make a change but fear begs us for ‘more clarity’. The thing is, clarity doesn’t need to come from the right conditions, the right setting, the right moment or a 25 point plan. Real clarity is available to all of us at any time.

In this episode of In POD We Trust, Jessica and Sarah's word was 'FEAR'. 

From the fear of being vulnerable to the fear of swimming with sharks, they discussed the distinction between healthy fear, fear that needs to be examined or explored and fear that is caused by genuine, physical danger.

Spoiler alert: These types of fear are not the same thing. 

They also spoke about how fear can be a friend and not an enemy and why having the courage to *not* do something is so essential.

They even discussed the importance of 'baby pandas'...
