Forest Bathing Session - slow down

  • Summary

  • Forest bating or Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese practice of connecting with nature through all of your senses. It will help you to slow down, release stress, get out of your head, relax and to re-connect with yourself.

This session is all about slowing down and noticing more.

How to use this audio-guide podcast:

    • Go to a forest or other natural area of your choice.
    • Find a spot where you can stay comfortable and safe for the duration of this session.
    • Every session starts with a guided meditation that will help you to open your senses, followed by one forest bathing invitation and it ends with a sit spot. if you want more forest bathing, you can play multiple sessions.
    • You can let the audio guide play when you're doing the invitation. You don’t have to pause the recording. I will tell you when it's time to stop.
    • If you want to journal about your experience, bring pen and paper with you. To add in journaling time, you do need to pause the recording.
    • It's best if you don't use headphones, so you can hear all the natural sounds around you. But be mindful of the people around you and try not to disturb them.
