Think about a historical figure or street names downtown your city, think about a renowned chef, a musician, or an architect; think about a movie character or a novel writer… who comes to mind? Chances are that the majority of the names that popped first, are men. cis gendered, white men without a disability unless YOU are part of a minority community. In that case maybe you did come up with an example that might look like you. History has an obtuse way of being told and recorded but today reality is creeping its way in and art is a fervent torch that lights up the way.

This is the final episode of a series of 3 episodes (in English) about Feminism & Art with the extraordinary art historian Fanny Curtat. We will explore how we have missed great artists, why we forget the few that made their way to the center stage and connect that phenomena to our modern lives. Join us, let’s mend our collective amnesia and usher in a full and luminous vision that actually corresponds to reality.
