  • TRACK NOTES: This is "one of those mixes" that I have been working on for months and required extensive track prep. The Pet Shop Boys (and Dusty Springfield) are important in the history of gay music, so it was important to me that I could get this mix right before releasing it.  I edited a few mixes for mix-ability in Rekordbox DJ. And many of the mixes here of Pet Shop Boys' classics are unusual or 'not expected.' For instance, I chose the 'Thee Werq'n B!Tches' remix of West End Girl instead of the customary 'Shep Pettibone Mix,' while excellent, that was most often played in clubs.  I also wrestled with playing the Obsession cut of 'Where The Streets Have No Name / Can't Take My Eyes Off You' because it was not the PSB. Back in the day, I played a remix service version [Rhythm Stick?] of the track I no longer have, which explains the "Obsession with..." part of the title.  The set's highlight is the 'Barry Harris 2021' mix of 'It's A Sin' which claimed the title track.
