If you have joined me in the previous three episodes you will know that Hermione had been preparing for the Ride of their Lives amateur jockeys race at York racecourse on Saturday 15 June in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The race day at York is Macmillan’s biggest single fundraising event. In this episode Hermione joins us along with six other guests to tell the story of her memorable day at one of the world’s most famous racecourses. You will be hearing from two jockeys, a previous competitor in Ride of their Lives, along with representatives from Macmillan and the racecourse as well as Hermione’s mum to capture the excitement that Saturday 15 June brought too so many people.
