Emo Dad talks to Julian Rosen (Common Sage)

  • Summary

  • Season 7 Episode 7: Emo Dad talks to Julian Rosen (Common Sage)

Matt and James were buzzing to sit down with frontman of the incredible Common Sage, Julian Rosen.

We discuss Julian’s youth and how he got into bands such as The Beatles and Blink 182, stealing his father’s records, starting bands in high school and learning guitar.

We chat about the highs and lows of being in a band, the reality of touring and the impact it has on life. We chat about Spotify bio’s, Foxing, Cap n Jazz and which bands and musicians have been a big influence on Julian and the band.

We look forward to the new album release, ‘Closer To’, which is out 22 November on Equal vision, and is absolutely MASSIVE. We discuss getting the likes of Geoff Rickly and Jason Gleason on the album, and how you take full advantage of having a mega guest on one of your songs.

All this and so much more, it was a great chat and we can’t wait for you to hear.
