Season 7 Episode 10: Late 90’s nostalgia train (Feat. China Drum, Cable, Terrorvision and more)

It’s time for some lovely nostalgia, as Matt and James take you back to the late 90’s, a time of no mortgages, no school runs, no full time jobs….just bumming around in our baggy jeans, going to shows and causing mischief.

We take you through a speedy tour of the great, and the not so great, bands of the late 90’s that were playing your local toilet venue, handing out stickers, signing people up to mailing lists and supporting Green Day way more times than you might realise.

There will be some bands who you forgot about and will be pleased that we are reminding you, and there will be some bands who you forgot about and wish it had stayed that way.

Join us and enjoy this wild ride.

    Nov 4 2024

Season 7 Episode 8: Matt and James go to the Emo Exhibition (Feat. Taking Back Sunday, Hawthorne Heights, House of Protection and more)

This week, Matt and James are out in the field, as we make our way to the Emo Exhibition in London.

Having been sent the info by approximately 14 people, we decided to go and see what the Emo Exhibition is all about, join us as we discuss our experience, and attempt our first ever field recording. We look at studded belts, dodgy myspace pictures and Matt breaks the display cabinet. You won’t want to miss this review, because it will help you decide whether or not you should go and see the exhibition for yourself!

We also chat about our experience of seeing House of Protection at the Underworld, bumping into friend of the podcast and Polar frontman, Woody, and end up going on a 90’s britrock side quest.

All this and more madness, join us for all the fun.
