  • 沖縄や離島を除いて日本で最も西にある街。言い換えれば東京から陸路でたどり着ける最西端の街が長崎県の西海市。このあたりではみかんが沢山育てられていますが、西海市大島町にあるオリーブ・ベイ・ホテルのお食事で前菜に生ダコの刺身が出てきた際、なんと西海みかんの焼き物が添えてありました。不思議な組み合わせと思われるかもしれませんが、この味のハーモニーがなんとも絶妙・・・。
