Brian Nevison on Training for Ultimate | Ep 63

  • Summary

  • Alex's trainer, Brian Nevison, joins us to talk about how to train for performance as an ultimate athlete. Brian has a degree in Kinesiology and has been a Strength and Conditioning Coach for a decade and a half. He has also been playing ultimate since high school. Brian walks us through what frisbee players get right and areas where we should focus more in terms of joint and tendon health. In our experience, many high level players regularly deal with tendinopathy, because they haven't built the capacity to handle the demands of practice, games, and tournaments. Brian's programming targets exactly that. His certifications include: Functional Range Strength Coach Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist Functional Range Assessment Specialist Licensed Kinstretch Instructor Speed and Agility Coach High School Strength & Conditioning Coach Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach Brian's info: https://www.smilestakeyoumiles.org/ https://www.instagram.com/b_nevison Support the Pod: https://ko-fi.com/podpractice Pod Practice BE Ultimate Store: https://shop.beultimate.com/collections/pod-practice-podcast Download The Playbook: https://betterthanever.beultimate.com/the-playbook-info More from Pod Practice: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/podpractice_pod YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@podpractice_pod Email: show@podpracticepod.com Shop BE Ultimate: https://beultimate.com/ Kikko Socks: https://kikkosocks.com/ Use discount code: POD15 for 15% off your next order. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pod-practice/support
