Go Fund Me For Haley’s Family ❤️‍🩹

Hi everyone, today I am reaching out for support for my sweet friend and teammate, Haley and her family. On September 16th, their house tragically caught fire and was engulfed in flames in minutes. They lost absolutely everything. We are starting this donation site to help them with necessities, toiletries, and a place to stay while they get everything situated. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated. God bless each and every one of you for blessing this sweet family.”

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

Excited to be bringing to you guys another episode of the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. ✌🏽. By now, if you’ve been keeping up with the last 173 episodes we’ve done, then you know we love to bring men on our show, young and old, to vent about all things mental health. If you have a story, then you have a place on our podcast.

    Let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥

We are excited to bring one of my pops good friends, a minister at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend O.C. Lawrence. ⭐️ We want to first thank Mr. Lawrence on spending some time of his life with the US Military, as a service, fighting for our country. Growing up in Franklin, Tennessee, Mr. O.C. says that things have changed a lot. He vents about some of the commonalities and differences between the millennial, “gen Z”, & the baby boomer generations. We also get into conversation about how, if left in the wrong hands, this country could quickly become a dictatorship. We as people have to be mindful of our rights to vote, as it pays homage to those that fought for us to have that right. In today’s episode we also touch on co-parenting, and how our guest mentally has navigated through that. Take some time to listen to a black man vent today. 🙏🏽

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

We are excited each and every week to bring to you new episodes of the Black Men Vent Too Podcast, the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. Amongst many podcast here in Nashville, we stand in the lane of mental health. Aiming to change the narrative behind mental health in black men, one episode at a time. Let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥

CALLING ALL TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI, STAFF, AND CURRENT STUDENTS 🐅💙

During homecoming last week, we decided to pull a guest from the pool of great legends that have walked TSU’s campus over the years. Today, we present to some and introduce to others, Nashville’s very own DJ “SpiffyBoyDanny” ⭐️ to the podcast! We unpack a lot in today’s episode with Daniel as he talks about his journey through the DJ industry. For high school, he went to Nashville School of the Arts & attended the great Tennessee State University for college. Paying homage to late DJ greats in the city like DJ Malik, & DJ Svnny Dee who were major influences in his success; he comes and vents about his frustrations with the crime and killings in our city. In February of 2021, Daniel lost his best friend to gun violence. A friend that he says “traveled with him everywhere” and always was there to support him. This has been something that we as a community have been loud about for years. Sons, nephews, grandsons are being taken from this earth everyday by senseless shootings. We hope that today’s episode can shine light on those frustrations, and mentally how we can aim to prevent these occurrences moving forward.

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

A new week, means a new episode from your favorite and ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. ⭐️ We are excited each week to know we have listeners eager to hear the stories told on our podcast. Today’s episode is one that tells a story of a true miracle, you’re in for a good one.

Our guest on today’s show is a young man that is a walking miracle, with such a powerful testimony. Leukemia is defined as a cancer, one that affects blood-forming tissues and hinders the body’s ability to fight infection. Daniel Drumwright, is today’s special guest on the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. ⭐️ Nashville, he is a SURVIVOR of leukemia, and has one hell of a story behind it. He comes to vent on the show about his journey behind mentally dealing within his newfound diagnosis. Like many of us, Daniel was born with normal eyesight, enjoying his daily activities and thriving in them. It wasn’t until the Fall 2014 that he began having vision issues in his right eye. Seeing a specialist, he was told that there was swelling in his retina and he would need injections. Time surpassed, and around his 30th birthday after a trip to Vegas, he tried to get out the bed and hit the wall with his shoulder … he knew then that something was wrong. Daniel was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, an extreme increase in one’s white blood cell count. Guys, it’s so much to unpack with this one … don’t miss out on today’s chance to hear a black man vent today. ✌🏽

Excited to bring to today’s podcast a good brother of ΚΑΨ Fraternity, Inc., graduate of Georgetown College, financial advisor, Norcross, Georgia native Mr. Bryce Bowen. ⭐️

Bryce grew up in Northcross with his mom and dad, having the dream of many kids and that was being a NFL player. But after reality set in, and having a few injuries, he realized that maybe a different career path would be best. Bryce entered the financial industry in college, and having a major in Economics opened his eyes to more information. He started his journey at an insurance company. Today, he runs his own practice that is aligned with a broker and a dealer. The story of this young brother, weighs a lot on him paying homage to his parents and grandparents as well. Talking about how his love for math gave him peace, and his mom continued to remind him how good he was in it; which was the foundation he said helped him to win competitions, contests, and embrace what the feeling of success is all about. This is just the surface of what we got into today with Mr. Boyd, do NOT miss out on history by listening to a black man, the YOUNGEST, vent today. 🙏🏽

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

ANOTHER WEEK OF BACK TO BACK CONTENT 🔥 September has been a month where we have been adamant about getting these episodes out to the masses! We have so many cataloged, that this week, we decided to drop ✌🏽 episodes in one week! Let’s get into it!

There are a total of 4 special guests that we have hosting our “Black Men & Finances” Season. Our first two were Fred Tyus & Pierre Correa, and today we bring to you the third guest in our series. Our BMVT family has a true, special connection with our guest that surpasses meeting up to record an episode. He is a father, a husband, an author, a former NFL player, businessman, but above that … he is a man that truly would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Guys we want to welcome back Mr. Toney Jenkins to The BMVT Podcast ✌🏽.

Toney is a true wealth of knowledge and information when it comes to how does money REALLY work. He has taught seminars, classes, and conferences around the country to continue to educate our people on how to save, grow, and protect your money. 💰

10 years in the financial industry, he vents about just again how tough it is to be a black man. When your finances aren’t aligned as a man, a lot of times your mental isn’t where it needs to be. Being deemed a provider, and not being able to provide because of variables out of a man’s control, can be mentally stressing. Tony talks about how corporate America, the “system”, and other outliers can, as a black man, deviate you from financial freedom. But also uses his personal testimony to show how even though he was faced with financial challenges, God provided a way for him to overcome and be the man that he is today. A husband, a father, a business man, but ultimately a man of God seeking to educate the world about the benefits of having a financial legacy. 🙏🏽
