Born in New York, but growing up in Memphis, basketball was something that David found a passion in. Time surpassed, realizing that his height wasn’t matching his dreams, he switched up his career and leaned more into music. Growing up in church, he always had a natural talent behind it. A proud student of Tennessee State University, David has taken off with his musical career since being a part of the HBCU. He prides himself on using a live band, and having that be his niche when performing. Ever heard of “Tiny Dorm” Concerts? Again, our guest is truly a creative and does these small dorm room live band concerts that you can find on his Instagram page. By far one of the most unique artists in our city, you’d have to check his catalog to hear the uniqueness in his voice, music, and overall approach to his craft. He vents about how it has been mentally being a part of TSU. Guys, get ready … cause David has some things he wants to get off his chest and he does that today on our show. Take some time to listen to a black man vent today. ✌🏽

Fast forward to today, he is again the President of the Nashville NAACP Chapter. ⭐️

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

Man are we excited to be a part of you guys new week, as we bring forth another great episode from the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. ⭐️ No time to waste, let’s get into today’s episode.

Anytime we get a chance to bring a mental health professional on to our podcast, we consider it a privileged opportunity. Not only is this brother a mental health professional, but he is also an author, public speaker, entrepreneur, and father. We’re excited to present to some and introduce to others, our guy Mr. James Bush. ✌🏽

Do we have any “DMV” folks listening in on today’s podcast? 👀

James Bush is a proud native of the D.C, Maryland, & Virginia area and vents heavily about the “East Coast grind” being young growing up. Moving to Nashville in 99’, Mr. Bush attended Fisk University with the hopes of making his mark here in the city. But, it didn’t start out as he had it planned. A 2-time college dropout, he had all the odds against him. Working any and every job to keep himself afloat, he knew internally that his purpose was bigger than his current circumstances. Mr. Bush vents on the show about the “state of black people” … a loaded general topic of conversation that you don’t want to miss. Take some time to listen to a black man vent today. 🙏🏽
