As he navigated financial struggles, health issues, and anxiety, Regis ultimately found success by fully committing to his passion for stunts and developing innovative approaches, like creating an electric camera bike for film productions. His dedication, talent, and willingness to adapt led to a rewarding career in the challenging but rewarding world of stunt performing.

    After an epic weekend at Barber Vintage Fest, Bad Beard had the chance to sit down with the godfather of “Tail of the Dragon”, Daryl Cannon, also known as Killboy. Daryl discusses his background and the origins of his photography business at The Tail of the Dragon, the most famous motorcycle road in North Carolina and Tennessee. Cannon began taking photos for fun and selling them online, eventually quitting his job to focus on his business full-time. His team now takes around 50,000 photos a week, and they have expanded into video production. Sam related by sharing his experiences documenting motorcycles and motorcycle events, most recently working for BMW as a content creator at Barber Vintage.


    Thew conversation continues as Cannon expresses his fascination with sidecar motorcycles and the challenges of creating high-quality content in a documentary format shot at Barber for distribution on platforms like Netflix. Throughout the interview, Canon reflects on the evolution of his business and the importance of digital cameras and the internet in their work, albeit a but slow in the mountains.
