Aren't we all Savannah Weirdos? Gum, Paint, Jello-Molds, and BIG Birthdays!

  • Summary

  • Even though we've officially "wrapped" Season 3 of Made of Savannah - we're between the seasons with one of my all-time favorite "weirdos" - Artist and Curator of Location Gallery, Peter Roberts.

We're on-location at Peter's studio, just having a good time chatting about childhood food memories: Pop Rocks, edible chewing gum wrappers (anyone remember Cinn-a-Burst??), and the always-adventurous eater Mikey.

We have LOTS to celebrate too! Friday, June 21st from 6-8 at Location Gallery - it's Sugar Sugar - a group show depicting low-cal high impact sweet treats, food and desserts by local artists in a variety of mediums. Artists include Stacie Jean Albano, James Graham, Ahmad Jackson, Mary Carol Kenney, Charissa Murray, Anisa Nonya, Jimmy O'Neal, Victoria Paterno, Michelle Perez, Peter E. Roberts and June Stratton. Gallery profits from run of show are donated to Forsyth Farmer's Market.

THEN - July 20th - Peter is lighting up the candles for his BIG birthday AND an exciting solo show. Mental Properties is new work by Peter E. Roberts featuring multi-dimensional papercuts from imaginary worlds. Gallery profits donated to ARTS Southeast.
