Many times friendships will come and go, but the ones that you lose track of time with…those are the meaningful ones. Sometimes it is the friends in our lives that we need to lean on to help us through the hard times. The friend that will listen no matter what. The friend that is there for you when you need them most. And most importantly, the friend that can laugh with you about anything.
For this episode I invited my friend, Farah Joseph, a school psychologist also known as Ms. J., on the show to talk all about friendships. The friendships that have impacted her life, and just how friendships in general can help you heal in ways you didn’t know.
Ms. J shares about her longest friendships, especially the ones formed during her college days. Despite the ups and downs, these friendships have endured because they value and understand each other. We still have friends with different personalities. We understand that forgiveness and acceptance are crucial because we all have our own struggles and journeys. We don't force each other in any direction, but we support and help each other. We believe in giving grace to others because we want the same in return.
In this episode we discuss: - How important friendships can be in our journey
- Our friendship over the years
- What makes each of us a great friend
- Even those with different personalities can make the best friends
- Forgiveness
