  • 在 Les Traces d'un Papillon （蝶变）这本书中，张芷美女士首先回忆了在 1985 年抵达加拿大后，先到东海岸哈利法克斯市（Halifax）上学，然后在蒙特利尔市（Montreal）找到工作，之后把两个女儿接来团聚的过程。 每月 260 加元过得很开心 她谈到，1985 年到加拿大的第一站是蒙特利尔，因为在这里有朋友。之后就去了哈利法克斯上学，靠每个月 260 加元的奖学金生活，当时住在一户人家的阁楼里，除去160 加元的房租，每月还剩下100 加元用于吃饭和交通，但这样的日子却过得很开心。 1986 年，张芷美开始找工作，听说蒙特利尔的工程公司 SNC-Lavalin 正在招人，就报了名。当时 SNC-Lavalin 在加拿大政府的赞助下，为中国的三峡工程做可行性研究，需要位协调员，有很多人申请竞争这个职位，张芷美因其流利的英语和经历被选中了。 有了工作，移民申请获批，张芷美把两个女儿也接到了加拿大，全家团聚蒙特利尔市。 播客音频： https://www.rcinet.ca/zh/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2020/09/009cd289.mp3
