About this listen
We are all searching for resolutions to the challenges we face. We all want to help ourselves and others and enjoy fuller, more satisfying lives. The Enneagram may not be able to solve every problem. Still, it can shine a light on why and how so many individuals inflict misery upon themselves, and by extension, others around them.
The Enneagram personality types reveal the most prominent aspects of our inner geography, including the locations of our soul’s perilous cliffs, deserts, and deadly quicksand, as well as its nourishing oases, tranquil forests, and revitalizing springs. Humans are incredibly complex, wonderful, infuriating, adaptable, and puzzling. It’s as true about yourself as it is about the dozens of people you bump into daily. Every time you interact with others, you must operate on the often very limited knowledge you have about them. And so much of it comes back to two fundamental problems:
We don’t truly understand others, and we don’t even truly understand ourselves.
This has made the Enneagram such a helpful tool for self-transformation for millions of people. It can be a valuable and profound tool for personal growth that helps build empathy and understanding for ourselves and others. The Enneagram invites us to look deeply into the mystery of our true identity. It is meant to initiate a process of inquiry that can lead us to a more profound truth about ourselves and our place in the world. The Enneagram is best used as a guide to self-observation and self-inquiry. The Enneagram allows you to see some of the most difficult parts of yourself that you can’t see without intentional reflection. It gives you a blueprint for understanding why you act the way you do.
It is time for us all to stop living in the past and realize our full potential. If you want to live an authentic life full of meaning and fulfillment, this book is for you!

Not much meat to digest
I’m nearly 2 hours into this 4 hour book and I have nothing to write home about. There is a lot of lead up but not a lot of substance. This is a very surface level view of the enneagram and I found it to be very generic and quite basic. I actually can’t keep listening.
The quality of the audio makes it sound like an old fashioned radio presenter rather than my preferred conversational style.
Out of respect for the author though, this is only my opinion, you may find it’s fantastic.
