About this listen
Niacin (vitamin B3) is a small molecule made of only 14 atoms, smaller even than the simplest sugar. But this one molecule has profound effects on health: It plays a role in more than 500 reactions in the body.
Many illnesses are caused by too little niacin, and many illnesses can be cured with high doses of niacin. The authors of Niacin: The Real Story are advocates of orthomolecular (nutrition-based) medicine, supporting an approach to wellness that involves substances that naturally occur in the human body. This book makes the case for the widespread use of niacin for the prevention and treatment of health problems.
In Niacin: The Real Story, listeners will discover how to take niacin, with detailed recommendations on forms and therapeutic doses. There is plentiful, accurate information on niacin side effects and safety. Niacin can be used for arthritis, children's learning and behavioral disorders, mental illness, cardiovascular disease, and other conditions. Niacin: The Real Story is for people who want to learn more about niacin and its wonderful healing properties.

Nutrition and vitamins, to increase health outcomes and not pharmaceutical where possible.
This book is amazing. It confirms big pharma are out there to make profit. When there are safer and simpler ways of increasing health outcomes. The information on niacin and other vitamins was easy to understand and very interesting. Case studies were provided to back up the research.
I would highly recommend this book to everyone.

Niacin vs nicotinamide and all the other important vitamins and minerals we need - more than drugs.
Liked it all. Just had to keep rewinding to rehear bits and would love a PDF copy to refer to as frantically writing notes in my phone.

Very informative, even to a layperson
This opened my eyes to the need for every person to be their own health advocate and to not just accept that all doctors have all the answers. There are simple answers to many complicated health issues, that don't include toxic chemicals. Niacin, widely tested and readily available, might just be the answer you seek.
I'm very glad I have listened to this book. I didn't need a PhD in orthomolecular science to understand it.
