About this listen
Not your usual dry business change book.
Drawing on 30-years of successful change management delivery, this book lays out how to get any business change adopted. Written in an engaging conversational style and brought to life through cartoon character "Change Cat", it gets to the heart of how to design, develop, and deliver change that works.
- How to identify what people really want from change—and sell it to them
- The difference between how to motivate change leaders and change users
- How to gather the right information to develop great change management stakeholder assessments, change plans, and impact assessments and what to include in them
- What to do when the change effort gets into trouble and how to remain authentic when hard messages must be delivered
A great tool for change managers, team leaders, and senior management author Barb Grant shares the strategies, tools, tips, and templates to ensure the change isn’t just done but delivers meaningful and long-lasting results.

Gold nuggets
Concise, practical, to the point and useful information for change management professionals. I enjoyed the no nonsense advice to approaching change management, as a lot of advice in this space is overly based in best practice methodology and less in what actually works in different organizations and on different projects. I finished the book feeling that a lot of my instincts and experiences were reinforced and validated, and with some valuable golden nuggets to consider and apply to the management of future changes.

clear, simple and applicable
I just loved how this book was stepped out but was still able to articulate how each element is interconnected. Follow along with the workbook and you are essentially receiving a masterclass in change management essentials along with some fantastic contextual examples.
if you are tired of CM books that have their head in the clouds of org psych and pseudo science, and want to understand application of CM, this is the book for you.
would love to see another volume on enterprise change and large scale change programmes.
