Zachary Musgrove, a digital artist, and painter, home-schooled for his educational career, taught himself how to write. While growing up he was in love with the world of the fantastic, playing with his five older siblings in make-believe. Together, they would create their own stories, growing his creative inspirations along the way. He would also draw characters and create stories with them that would later turn into the Symphony of Elliandor. Zachary attributes his love of Tolkien’s and George R. R. Martin’s writings to his inspiration to create. The fantasy works of the Elder Scrolls, and the Castlevania games, along with the musical genius of the bands, Metallica, Powerwolf, and Sabaton, are just among a few that have inspired many elements of his writings, both old and new. In his personal life, he was married in a castle, with dragons in his bride’s dress along with goblets featuring those magical creatures. Being a self-taught writer had its rough patches. Originally writing in the third person to convey his story, he felt it lacked a personal touch. Rewriting everything into first person, and present tense, took many years. Through perseverance and patience, he has created his world and characters for all to enjoy.
