Victoria Evans is an author, dietician and nutritionist who was born and raised in Washington State. After studying law at university she quickly realised that this was not the life that she wanted to pursue and opted out of the rat race by buying a smallholding in the mountains east of Seattle. She lives there with three dogs, two cats, a horse and several chickens. Victoria’s love of animals and nature has been something that she has had since as long as she can remember but healthy eating and living came to her a bit later, when she was in her 20’s and worked out that she couldn’t continue to party hard and over indulge if she wanted to remain healthy. So moving to somewhere that was remote and presented a challenge for her seemed like the right thing to do. There she was able to work on many projects surrounding healthy eating and to help others lose weight through it. Now she writes extensively on the subject and organizes meditation and weight loss courses where she is convinced that she can transmit happiness by teaching how to eat healthily. In her free time, Victoria enjoys growing most of her own food in her garden, riding her horse and hiking or canoeing in the wilderness around her home. She has become something of a good cook in the process, preparing healthy and authentic food that her frequent visitors love to eat. Victoria loves where she lives and hopes to continue to enjoy the natural world that she is close to, while writing more books on the benefits of healthy eating for years to come.
