Video Gaming has been a passion of mine since my early teens. Information Technology was my chosen career which gives some advantage but not necessarily any advantage to becoming a top-class winning gamer. The industry evolved along with IT and is now known as Esports. This is a fitting and appropriate name for what is fast becoming a possible new Olympic Sport - possibly as early as 2024 - watch this space. I was inspired to write this short book briefly outlining that there are multiple routes into Esports. The main reason for my inspiration is the misunderstanding that Esports means being a top-class gamer only - as you will read in this book that's simply not the case. There are amazing opportunities in Esports and it should be made more public that there are many routes into the industry. I highlight just 7 and they are achievable for anyone at almost any level and you don't have to be a champion LOL or DOTA2 player.
