Tonya Beatty has been writing poems since childhood. She is a passionate blogger, has an Associate Degree in Art, and is an LMBT (Licensed Massage And Bodywork Therapist). During her teenage years, Tonya enjoyed acting and has starred in several Green Room productions. While in college, she performed many Broadway tunes with the show choir and traveled abroad. Tonya has been featured on WNNC(1230) AM radio station, the Melungeon Voices podcast, the Rowan Cabarrus Student Life podcast, and on a virtual powwow reciting one of her poems that is now published in her book 'Where Life Has Taken Me: Compilation of Poems From My Teenage Years Into Adulthood'. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, doing genealogy, dancing, and being a devoted mother to her three children.
