Tony Gratacós is a Spanish journalist born in Barcelona. He holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Navarra and furthered his studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), specializing in screenwriting and production. His literary debut came with the autopublishing of his first novel in Spain. The book, an alternative fiction on the first circumnavigation of the world, was very well received, raising the eyebrows of major publishers in Spain, who went on a spree to secure the rights of the work and its author. The novel, titled Nadie lo sabe, was eventually published by the Planeta Group. With his second novel, Todos sabrán mi nombre (2024), he went so far as to decode the controversial figure of Hernán Cortés, the conqueror of Mexico. A Thief’s Song is the first foray of the author in the English market.
