Tim Ferguson was born in 1947. He had a multi-faceted, 42 year career as a public servant with the Department of Social Services, working in Child Protective Services and retiring as the Director of the Suffolk County Adult Protective Services in 2016. Mr. Ferguson has served as a Christian Youth Group Leader for over forty-six years. He has many stories of Christian Youth to share. Trying to find new ways to reach youth led him to write a story of a vision of Christian teens and, influenced by his years in Child Protective Services, Mr. Ferguson created a coming of age, social justice sci-fi adventure series under the title: "The Chest of Visions". In addition to working with youth, he is the co-chairman of the Mission Committee of the Deer Park Presbyterian Church and the leader of the Men in Faith group at a local Presbyterian Church. He is the creator of the website: Lessonsforchristianyouth.com and has published "Not the Same Old, Done-it-before Youth Meetings" (2007) and "The Chest of Visions: Secrets of Caperston"(2020) and The Chest of Visions: New Pathways 'Cross Broken Highways" (2020).
