T. E. Tran grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland. She competed in gymnastics, played rec soccer with her younger brother, and attended First Presbyterian Church of Howard County. The first loves of her life were music and writing, which would shape her future in ways she could not yet fathom. After a major medical diagnosis in her late teens, Tran underwent several surgeries and procedures that would span the next twelve years. She didn't allow this to stop her, despite several setbacks. After graduating high school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in History of Art and English with emphasis in Creative Writing from Presbyterian College. Since graduating college, she has worked in several fields, but never forgot her love of writing. At the start of her Saturn Return, Tran came up with the idea for The Twelve-Pointed Star Saga and met the love of her life, Matthew. She spent the next four years mastering her craft, building the city of Zodithaya, and the characters who grace the pages of her books. She also built a life and a home with Matthew and their golden retriever, Clover. October 2022 brought to life the wedding of their dreams and the captivation pen name: T. E. Tran.
