Steven Machat, a globally recognized American entertainment entrepreneur, is currently producing the Buena Vista Orchestra's worldwide tours. His career spans managing, producing, and/or representing iconic artists such as ELO, Ozzy Osbourne, Leonard Cohen, Phil Spector, Genesis, Phil Collins, Snoop Dogg, Rita Lee, Franco Battiato, and Manu Dibango. In 2016 Machat ran for the US Senate in Florida against Rubio as an independent. He has also led several record labels, including Jet Records, Death Row Records, and Acid Jazz Records. With his late son, Barron, he also ran Hippos in Tanks record label that was home to artists like Arca and Grimes. Machat's involvement in the film industry is extensive, encompassing various roles in productions like Street Fighter, Judge Dredd, and Bird on a Wire. Currently, he and his wife, Debbie Machat, operate SSK Records and its associated publishing houses. A prolific author, Machat has garnered awards for his bestselling books, including Gods Gangsters and Honor, Unraveling the Bible, and We’ve Gotta Get Out Of This Place.
