Steve Metzner was born in 1940 in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Raised in the Arkansas Valley. Attended School in Swink, Rocky Ford, and Fowler Colorado. At the age of 17, I joined the Navy. Served in San Diego, CA, and the Philippines. While in the Philippines I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. Discharged from the Navy in 1960 and then served one semester in Bible school. Spent the next fifty years in the construction industry. Retired to Fowler, CO Oct. 2008. Met and married Second wife. In 2016 She had three strokes that left her unable to walk, speak, or comprehend. I became her 24/7 caretaker. During that time the Lord laid it on my heart to write "The Guide To Eternal Life". While sitting at my computer I was thinking about the famous quote by George Santayana which states " Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it". It was at this time that I got the inspiration to write a book that would compare America's way of life to Israel's history. Israel was God's chosen nation to bring us His word, (the Bible), and the Lord Jesus Christ. Israel, instead of following Gods commandments repeatedly looked for their solutions to solve the situations they found themselves in. The mistakes (sins) Israel committed eventually cost them their country for over 2000 years. By looking at their sin's and comparing them with our own, hopefully we can repent and not repeat them any longer and lose our country also. The Bible tells us that in the last days He will bring Israel back. The United States of America does not have that promise. Once we are gone the chances that we will ever come back are very slim. This book Tells us what we must do If we want to try and save our country.
