When Sharon Pincott decided in the year 2001, to live and work amongst wild elephants in Zimbabwe, Africa - abandoning her life as a high-flying IT Consultant 'Down Under' - her friends and family were aghast! She went to hell and back during the next 13 years, fighting to protect more than 500 wild, free-roaming elephants who roam the Hwange Estate in the far west of Zimbabwe. Yet her abiding love of Africa and its wildlife still remains, and is so very contagious. Sharon - now a dedicated wildlife conservationist and elephant behavioural specialist - formed extraordinary relationships with these wild free-roaming elephants, many of whom eventually came to her when called by name.
