Sam Genever is a pen name. . I have also written under other pen names for 20+ years as a travel writer, columnist and journalist. My favourite things to do include night cycling, being anywhere close to the ocean and reading good books. I'm originally from South Africa and have travelled around the world. My favourite places are Braamfontein in Johannesburg Cape Town because the people are the friendliest and have the best banter. Bali because the locals do everything to make their culture endure mass tourism and I love a good Nasi Goreng. Hvar in Croatia, because its gorgeous and good value My favourite books are Midnight's Child, almost anything by James Lee Burke, and The Prey Series by John Sandford.
