Rod Cole is a self-published author that has written 2 books. He prides himself on being an artist. He has written in both fiction and non-fiction genre. His drive for writing comes from his idea of being able to share his unique insight into life and storytelling, while also is teaching and entertaining the reader. He prefers to write first thing in the morning from 4 AM - 5 AM, which is when he is most alert, and the ideas and words seemed to flow through him. At this time he doesn't even eat breakfast, shower or even brush his teeth. He merely grabs a cup of coffee, meditates for a few minutes, and then starts writing. Rod is interested in social issues, such as giving peace and hope to the socially disadvantaged. Though Rod's first passion is writing, his second passion is speaking. He loves speaking and sharing hope and ideas to others. He has said that speaking is rewarding because he can immediately feel the energy of the group or audience. There is some fear or discomfort before speaking to a group, but this is the price that you must pay so as to get your message to them. Rod has said that his most memorable experience as an author is knowing that his father was able to read and loved his first book.
