Robin Traywick Williams has more energy and more fun than anybody you know. Williams’ long-awaited memoir-bio of two families in World War II, “The Last Romantic War”, arrived in 2020. This compelling look at life during wartime tells the story of the author’s parents’ exotic global courtship, a story filled with emotion and adventure, featuring burning airplanes, runaway horses, the pain of separation and the eternal question: “Will he come home?” As research for "The Last Romantic War," Williams and her brother spent two weeks in India and the Middle East, a trip the author recalls in "Butch and Sundance Do India: A madcap search for our father’s WWII footsteps from Delhi to Burma." This humorous travelogue is beautifully illustrated. Robin Traywick Williams is an award-winning author, journalist, storyteller and horsewoman. She makes frequent appearances as a speaker at venues large and small. She holds an M.A. from the creative writing program at Hollins University, spent five years as a feature writer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and served six terms as chairman of the Virginia Racing Commission.
