I guess I was lucky. I arrived just after the Second World War. Good timing. I was born a few miles from the Cavern Club in Liverpool. A club that helped make Liverpool the centre of the universe. Well, with a little help from four lads who called themselves the Beatles. By the time I was 20 I thought it perfectly natural to take off and see something of our great big world. So I did. From Casablanca to San Diego. And from San Diego to Aukland crossing 8,000 miles of the Pacific Ocean in a 25 foot boat. My travelling pal, David, ‘born in the USA’, and I sold our boat in New Zealand and then worked our way slowly back to Europe. He went home to Aspen. I signed up for two years at a drama school in Kensington and then for the next thirty years earned my crust as an actor and then a tour guide. A great fit. I love researching interesting subjects and then writing up what I've learned. I've always been fascinated about how the world works and in 2010 I published "Who Cares? Why War, Poverty, Environmental Destruction and Debt Remain so Popular". In 2015 I published "It's All About Money". “This neat little book, small as it is – says it all. And small is beautiful.” Jo Brand - Comedian - Writer - Presenter - Actor “This is a powerful and passionate book, the ideas within it seem to me to be truly original and provide a startlingly different analysis of the way our economies work or rather don’t work. Alexei Sayle - Comedian - Writer - Presenter - Actor   “Who Cares? Is a great read. Pithy, well-researched, iconoclastic – and bang on the nail when it comes to exposing the lethal fantasies that lie at the heart of today’s life-threatening economy”.  Jonathon Porritt  - Environmentalist
"Who Cares? shows the link between the environment, poverty, wars, and boom and bust cycles with our money system. If we want to do something about these challenges, we'll need to rethink our money. He is right." Dr Bernard Lietaer - Economist
