Welcome to my author page on Amazon. My name is Rebecca, and I am a closed-door romance suspense writer who focuses on Historical Fiction (Western/Regency) and Contemporary Fiction as her preferred genre categories. My romance-inspired novels quickly turn into suspense thrillers since I like to add a bit of everything to my novels: drama, heartbreak, humor, suspense, lots of sarcasm and playfulness/sass (a must since I am fluent in both), inspirational thoughts, religious beliefs and faith in God. You will also find real-life topics and issues part of my stories as a reminder that such evils exist and that we all have the power to step up and fight against them. Why am I addressing something that is uncomfortable to talk about? Because only when we speak about these issues can we make a change. Bullying, racism, sexual harassment, abuse, human trafficking, and drug and alcohol addiction are just some of the topics I tackle straightforwardly and without sugarcoating. I don't believe in avoiding issues because they might be uncomfortable. I don't go into graphic details because I want teenagers to be able to read my books too, but the mentioned issues are not just there to add drama, suspense and such to my stories. It is there to raise awareness. My beliefs, views, and opinions are represented in my books and how I feel about them. My characters are my voice. I call it as I see it. My main characters usually have a strong belief in God - either in general or inspired by the author's faith. More about me, the author: I am a mom of two boys (almost 18 and 20 years old), have been married to my husband for almost 21 years, and live in Utah. I was born and raised in Germany but moved to the US after meeting my husband in Scotland at a wedding. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and love my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am fluent in German and English, and I have challenged myself by writing my books not in my native tongue but in English instead. I enjoy reading clean, happy-ending stories, love to watch chick flicks (especially my Christmas Hallmark movie collection), and am a big-time Harry Potter Fan. (I am not kidding on that one. My house has plenty of decorations for the said franchise.) My love for writing started early. Even as a child, I enjoyed writing stories. Escaping reality as a teenager took place whenever I had a good book in my fingers, wrote or read my stories, or watched romantic movies. I have a vivid imagination, so it is easy for me to disappear into a different world.
