Raheim Fender is a graduate of the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, where he received a Diploma and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts. He has been a teaching artist/educator for over fourteen (14) years, his professional theatre and entertainment experience spanning Twenty (20) years, during which, he has honed his versatility in wearing many “hats”. Inasmuch as he is a multitalented-educator, theatre practitioner, entertainer, writer, speaker- Fender is a multi award winning Educator, Director, Author, Playwright, Dancer, Actor, Singer, Choreographer, Presenter and Poet having received many awards both locally and internationally. Raheim Fender is the recipient of the Carlong Publishers (Caribbean) Limited award for his outstanding contribution to Education as well as the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information (MOEYI) /Lasco/ Jamaica Teaching Council (JTC) awardee for his outstanding service to education. He is the recipient both as a teacher and as a performer of several gold, silver and bronze awards at the parish level of Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) annual Festival of the Performing Arts. Along with several awards in the JCDC national finals, he has received the commission’s Cultural Icon Award (2018) for his contribution to Cultural programmes in Trelawny, Best Rural Director (2018), Most Outstanding Drama teacher award for 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2024 respectively. His production "To Love A Loser...Inner Demons Playing Russian Roulette" which he wrote, directed, choreographed and produced and is an adaptation from his 2023 bestseller The Personals...Passions, Perils and Purgatory won several national awards Best Senior Experimental Drama 2024, Best Senior Actor, Best Rural Actress, The Marcus Garvey Excellence National awards-Ranny Williams award for Best Actor Overall and the coveted award of Top Director. Raheim is also a three (3x) Top Director awardee. Fender was also awarded by Cedric Titus High for his contribution to the development of the performing arts at the institution. Raheim is an acclaimed presenter and speaker on drama therapy, creative drama, and the benefits of theatre in schools and theatre's role in addressing mental health in youths. Fender is a seven (7x) time bestselling author with five of his books receiving the number one ( #1) new release in several categories. Raheim Fender's catalog of books and literature have sold over twenty thousand (20,000) copies and his net worth approximately one million. Raheim also has a Podcast based off of his bestseller Demons of the Psyche which also became an international number #1 show in the category of Fiction. Raheim has also been featured in several international magazines Voyage LA, Voyage ATL, Canvas Rebel and Bold Journey respectively.
