At 6, I wrote my first book, "You're Yucky in Some Ways", which was never published - probably one of the reasons it never made the bestsellers' list. Since then, I've enjoyed writing both fiction and non-fiction. After writing three middle-grade books (one co-written with my sister), I had an idea for a book that I fell completely in love with - A close mother-and-daughter duo that discovers the mom has a terminal illness. The mother, of course, is scared--not only for herself but also for her daughter, who has no one else. Her most devastating thought is that she will miss the rest of her daughter's life. The daughter, upon hearing this realizes that she too wants to share the rest of her life with her mother--and if it won't happen in real life, then perhaps fiction is an alternative to consider. I developed the idea over two years, researching, adding details, and weaving together the story. I waited to be ready to write it, to know that I could bring the story to life in the way I wanted to, in a way that would do it justice. I hope you will find that I have. --- In addition to writing, I am the mom of six children, married to my best friend, and I work as a UX writer for Percepto (creator of the autonomous drone-in-a-box solution)! I love almost any type of craft and spent much of my free time during the past two years learning woodturning, including courses in Elbigenalp, Austria and Crete, Greece.
