I was born and live in Orange County, California. I had a very interesting childhood, as I was raised in a restaurant/bar that was located in a tough, multi-ethnic neighborhood. I was a shoe shine boy, waiter and dishwasher from the age of 8 until I was 16. I made many fascinating adult friends and heard countless stories of their adventures, legal and illegal while at their feet shining shoes. I saw many interesting things as a child that perhaps I should not have. I have written short stories most of my life, and have always had a very vivid imagination. I am on Facebook at R.C. Hand and now on instagram. I played tennis throughout school and it continues to be a favorite pastime of mine today. I have an AA Degree in Administration of Justice. At one time thought it might lead me to Law School. I have always been drawn to stories relating to peoples behavior and the resulting consequences. I worked for my family in construction from a very young age and eventually took over the family business. I continued to operate the business, along with my son, for 38 years until I retired. My wife and I have a passion for travel and have visited many incredible countries including the DPRK, that's North Korea, Mongolia and more than 81 others on 7 continents. We want to experience as many countries as possible. I hope you enjoy my stories. I write under the pen name of R.C. Hand.
