Punita Rice writes children’s books for her kids. She is the creator of the “Adventures of Hunny & Sunny” series, which follows a pair of anthropomorphic bunny brothers who face challenges and learn new things together. She also recently wrote “Write & Self-Publish a Children’s Book in 7 Days,” a guidebook that walks parents through the process of creating a unique children’s book for their own child from start to finish, using free online tools. Punita is a former middle school Social Studies teacher and an education researcher (she wrote “South Asian American Students’ Experiences in Schools” from Rowman & Littlefield, 2019). She holds a doctorate in education from Johns Hopkins University and a masters in teaching. Though she no longer works in education, she remains passionate about teaching and learning with her own children daily. Punita is based in Maryland.
