Philip Shorey is a fourth-generation puppeteer and the founder of The Suitcase Sideshow, a world-traveling street theater. He was raised on and off the road with a puppet show in the 1980s and uses his grandparent’s marionettes from the 1960s. In recent years as a composer and conductor of the Curse of the Vampire Orchestra, he has developed an international symphony that is reinventing live performance for silent film. In 2017 he released his debut book Kill Your Art – A Street Performer’s Guide to Being A Messenger of Jesus Christ.
