Satyros Phil Brucato, aka Phil Brucato or just plain Satyr, sold his first professional story to Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword & Sorceress IX anthology in 1990. During White Wolf's "classic World of Darkness" period, he co-created the Mage, Wraith, Sorcerers Crusade, Werewolf, Changeling and Vampire: Dark Ages lines, contributing to over 80 books for the Wolf. The following decades saw him return for the Mage 20 series in addition to dozens of fiction and non-fiction titles including the novel Red Shoes, the collection Valhalla with a Twist of Lethe, the games Powerchords: Music, Magic & Urban Fantasy and Deliria: Faerie Tales for a New Millennium, the TV series Strowlers, the self-help book Open Your Heart to the Magic of Love (with Dr. Lester Sauvage), a host of anthologies and periodicals, and popular columns for Realms of Fantasy, Witches & Pagans, and NewWitch magazine. Satyr's fiction has appeared in Weird Tales, Steampunk Tales, and a slew of magazines and anthologies. In 2009, he co-edited the benefit collection Ravens in the Library, founded Silver Satyr Studios with Sandra Damiana Swan (at that time, Buskirk), and produced the webcomic series Arpeggio with artist Bryan Syme. During the five-year history of the mystic rock band Telesterion, Satyr played bass on the band's self-titled album and its follow-up Secret Communion. This band, and others, provided the real-life experience behind books and stories like "Ravenous," Arpeggio, and Powerchords. An occasional hiker, avid dancer, sometimes musician, and constant reader, Satyr lives in Seattle with his spouse and business partner Damiana, their beloved pride of cats, and a houseful of books and musical instruments.
