Phil Bailey is a self-employed software developer, scuba diver, drone enthusiast, and ardent fan of science-fiction and space exploration. Born in Singapore to British expat parents, Phil's family led a nomadic existence in his early years. After Singapore, Phil lived in Malaysian Borneo, England, and then Ontario, Saskatchewan, and finally, in and around Victoria on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Phil now lives in the seaside town of Sidney on the outskirts of Victoria. Phil is married to his high school sweetheart, Cora. Together they raised a daughter who is all grown-up and enjoying life. Phil started writing his debut novel, Kelvoo's Testimonial, a few days after his birthday in January, 2021 after realizing that he wasn't getting any younger and he might as well take a stab at writing a novel because... why not? As a freelance software developer, Phil worked for a wide variety of industries and organizations, including several years at Cowichan Tribes - British Columbia's most populous first nation. Phil's work inspired his interest in indigenous people and the effects of colonization, themes that are prevalent in the final chapters of Phil's debut novel, Kelvoo's Testimonial.
