"This book originated because I felt "called" to write it to answer the observations from many of our friends/clients after they successfully completed a wealth creation transaction: "Dammit, Pete, if I had only known then what I know now". If we have in some way moved toward that goal of knowing, then much of the credit goes to several sets of positive individuals who contributed in various ways to this work. I want to gratefully acknowledge them. - Peter R. Worrell" Worrell has a particular interest in the intersection of psychology and finance and its relevance to building enterprise value in the private transaction market. His efforts go to the practical application of the insights drawn from these disciplines to improve decision making in the owner-manager domain of risk. He is known as a thought leader on the art of building sustaining enterprise value for all stakeholders in private owner-managed organizations. Worrell earned the degree of Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Business Administration from Babson College's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Michael's College. He has been awarded a Doctor of Jurisprudence, honoris causa from Saint Michael's College. He is currently Managing Director at Bigelow LLC. With his spouse, a family practice physician, Worrell lives primarily on the East Coast. They are restless cruising sailors and have left a wake from Newfoundland and Labrador to the West Indies, in the South Pacific, Ireland, the sub-Antarctic, New Zealand, and the U.K. so far. He is committed to physical fitness and enjoys learning, travel, skiing, frugality, scuba diving, reading, and music.
