Miriam Davis grew up in the UK in a home whose doors were wide open to people from other cultures. Transformed by an encounter with Jesus at university, she set off in great trepidation after graduation to teach English in Japan for two years. Two years became forty-two! In 1986, she left teaching to join OMF International and spent the next 30 years in Hokkaido, in church planting and as advisor to new cross-cultural workers studying Japanese. She is now retired in Gloucester, UK. She plays the flute, sings in a choir, enjoys walks in the Cotswolds and is fully involved in her local Anglican church.
