A note from Michelle: In the past, I've suffered from post-apocalyptic stress syndrome while writing 5 Blanks, powered an ancient artifact using a pair of star-crossed lovers in Chest of Souls, recovered Christmas by unearthing the forgotten love story of the Klauses, and, in Pic Jump, saved a little girl from a terrorist organization armed with nothing but a Barbie head and a woman in a coma. Oh, and helped a woman get lost and find true love - with a ghost - in Hallows Gate. People ask how I do what I do. Simply put: I LOVE what I do! I thrive on creating worlds and characters! By the time you read this, I'll be working with awesome new ones to turn upside down (or inside out), spinning more plots to weave into their lives and planting subplots to harvest when they aren't looking. Update 2020: In my "been there done that" column: I just finished Sundara, Chest of Souls Book 10 and I'm moving on to the rest of the story, books 11-15. By the time I finish, the complete set will be 20 books long. Currently, my fan base is especially fond of COS (Chest of Souls) and the everlasting Stoddard sisters who work with time-travel romance wrapped in murder mysteries. My goal: finish 50 books (minimum) before I die. I'm more than halfway there. Another seven or so years will see this goal reached. Anything after that will be sauce. It has been a miraculous (always mental) stretching and soul-refreshing journey that will never end because I never run out of ideas. It's just knowing which to use.
