Michael Jenner is the author of Fit In 15 at 60 Plus. He is refreshingly open about the fact that he’s not a personal trainer or a gym instructor: He’s a man in his early 60s who knows exactly what challenges seniors face when it comes to health and fitness. His work provides exercises for both men and women over the age of 60, taking a motivational tone, and providing practical advice for maintaining strength and fitness. Michael had been fit most of his life, but as he got older, he was dismayed to discover that his fitness had taken a knock, almost before he’d even realized it. He was becoming stiffer and less mobile, and it was affecting his health. As a family man with grandchildren on the way, striving for a healthier lifestyle became a priority, and he dedicated his time to researching health and fitness in later life. Through his research, Michael quickly became aware that a wide lens on health and fitness can only take you so far – every age group faces unique challenges, and getting fit post-60 requires a different approach to the one taken when you’re younger. Michael has funnelled his research into his own fitness journey, and has completely transformed his health. He has overcome his issues with mobility, and feels stronger and more energized every day. Having realized how dramatic a change is possible with the right advice, he’s now determined to share his knowledge with others. Michael enjoys maintaining his own health, and continues to practice his exercise routine, supplementing his training with regular swimming, and weekend hikes with his Border Collie Leo. He loves spending time with his family, and is looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild.
