Michael Demaray is a versatile storyteller with a passion for exploring the depths of the human experience. By day, he channels his artistry as a skilled medical illustrator. But when the sun sets, Michael takes flight as a fiction writer. Raised in the picturesque landscapes of Northern Michigan, Michael’s upbringing instilled in him a love for nature and a curiosity about life’s mysteries. In his past life, Michael found himself on the gridiron playing semi-pro football, hanging sheetrock, managing a pharmacy, working as a stone mason, and as a groundskeeper in a cemetery. Michael is also an enthusiastic cook and voracious reader who has a knack for building, inventing, and welding. His diverse range of interests reflects his boundless creativity and hands-on approach to life. Michael attended undergrad and graduate school in upstate New York, but today lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Katherine, and their beloved rescue dog, Matilda. Michael’s debut novel, “The Faller”, offers a gripping exploration of love, loss, truth, and deception. And, with a short story collection in the works, Michael will continue to captivate readers with his unique blend of intriguing characters, emotional depth, and vivid prose.
