Mayte Cubino Gonzalez Director, Modern Work, Microsoft European Disability Champion 2016 Mayte Cubino Gonzalez is an EMEA Director in the Modern Work Support Engineering organization at Microsoft, providing support to products such as Copilot for Microsoft 365, and serves as the Site Lead and board member of Microsoft Portugal (1,700+ employees). Mayte’s commitment to innovation and customer focus garnered her the prestigious Microsoft Platinum Award in 2023. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2021, Mayte worked for 15 years at Cisco where she held a variety of leadership and engineering roles. Mayte is an AI enthusiast whose deep passion for innovation and commitment to advancing the field are exemplified by her status as a patent holder. Her contributions in the area of Diversity and Inclusion are notable, leading organizations and initiatives at a regional and global level and earning international awards for her efforts. In 2016, she received the European Disability Champion award for her significant contributions to raising awareness about hidden disabilities and advocating for workplace adjustments. Mayte holds two Engineering degrees from Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona and a Master’s in Project Management from the George Washington University. Originally from Spain, Mayte is the mother of three kids and resides in Lisbon with her family. She loves reading, travelling and giving back to the community.
