Howdy. I'm Matthew Rossi, and I write things. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island. There are rumors that I was born with a caul, but to be honest I was a baby at the time and my memory is fairly limited. My life before leaving the state was fairly prosaic - I battled rats in underground tunnels, got burned trying to jump a dirtbike over a trench full of gasoline. You know, kid things. Since then I've kicked around all over the place - Boston, London (yes, the one in England), Chicago, Washington DC, Virginia, San Francisco and Seattle before marrying my lovely wife and moving here to Edmonton. Where the snow can be deep and the sasquatches are plentiful. We have one. He's adorable. I tend to write weird things in my own way. If you read what I'd call mainstream weird fiction, you might like my work, but it's not quite the same. My influences are C.L. Moore, Tim Powers, Matt Ruff, Samuel R. Delany, Walter Mosley's Blue Light, the Wild Cards books edited by George R.R. Martin, and a lot more. We're all the product of our experiences and a lot of great books have been amazing experiences for me. I also play a lot of video games and pen and paper RPG's and I am fascinated by the emerging narrative platform gaming has become. Here I am, here are my works. I hope you enjoy them.
