Matt McLarty is a digital strategist, technology, executive, enterprise architect, and API enthusiast. He is currrently CTO at Boomi, helping organizations around the world thrive in the digital age. He is an active member of the worldwide API community, has led global technical teams at Salesforce, IBM and CA Technologies, and started his career in financial technology. Matt is an internationally known expert on AI, APIs, microservices, and integration. He has co-author of the book Unbundling the Enterprise, and has co-authored other books for O'Reilly. Matt also co-hosts the API Experience podcast, available on all popular podcast platforms. Matt grew up in the Newmarket, Ontario, Canada close to the city of Toronto. He studied mathematics and statistics at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, graduating with honours in 1995 before embarking on a career in information technology. Matt lives in Surrey, BC, Canada with his wife and two sons. In his spare time, Matt records music, with a number of available albums on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, and Google Play.
