Markie Doczi has always loved to write, both poetry and prose. Her earliest work was "Trees, trees, they make the breeze." She was about seven years old. Her most recent literary accomplishment is the publication of her historical fiction, Blue Heaven's Tent. This novel combines her love of history and passion for writing, reminding readers of a dark time in the not-so-distant past. While this is her debut novel, it is Markie's second book. Beneath the Old Oak Tree, published under her maiden name of Hurd, is an original collection of poetry.
