Mark Burrows is poet, translator, teacher, and scholar. Well known for his work on medieval mysticism and the intersection of poetry and spirituality, he is in demand as a retreat leader in the US, the UK and Europe, and Australia. His books include: "The Chance of Home: Poems" (2018); three collections of meditative poems inspired by the writings of Meister Eckhart, including most recently "Meister Eckhart's Book of Darkness and Light" (co-authored with Jon M. Sweeney, 2023,, a volume that was awarded the Gold Medal by the Nautilus Book Awards in 2024); a translation of Rilke's "The Book of Hours" (Part I), published as "Prayers of a Young Poet" (2013/2024); "99 Psalms" by SAID; and, "The Wandering Radiance: Selected Poems of Hilde Domin" (2023). He is Poetry Editor for Wildhouse Publishing and for the journal Spiritus. His most recent books include a new translation of Rilke's "Sonnets to Orpheus" and "You Are the Future: Living the Questions with Rainer Maria Rilke" (co-written with Stephanie Dowrick; Monkfish, 2024).
